'HAVE A GO'

7:15pm until 9pm approx.
From age 9 onwards
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you would like to have a go at Archery then you are welcome to come to the Club on a Thursday evening at 7:15.
Please wear reasonably well fitting clothing and sensible shoes.
Inexperienced archers attending 'have a go' courses will learn from basic training equipment loaned by the Club for this purpose.
It is recommended that beginners learn with club equipment until basic skills are mastered and should then consider purchasing equipment for themselves.
This may take some time depending on individual abilities.
Archery equipment is expensive and varied so it is advisable to seek advice from experienced archers at the club before purchasing equipment.
Insurance is provided for beginners, prior to becoming members,
for a maximum of their first six lessons.
Basic etiquette:
An Archer:
does not talk in a loud voice whilst others are shooting
does not talk to another competitor who prefers to be silent
does not make exclamations on the shooting line during shooting
does not retrieve arrows before scores have been recorded
does not touch anyone else's equipment without permission
does not walk away from the shooting line whilst others are at full draw
does not draw a bow unless at the shooting line - with an arrow or not
